Monique has over 20 years of international experience in buying management, brand management, product development and retail and marketing management. Until 2003 she was active as buyer and concept developer. Then until 2007 she worked as an independent consultant under the name Catching Concepts.
Since 2007 she leads a team of retail specialists at business creation firm Preneurl. And when the larger part of the work exists as co-creation, she puts the best independent people for the job in place, their fresh thinking assuring the smartest solutions feasible.
Until 2003 Monique Plantinga worked as senior buyer, concept developer, brand manager and product manager/developer at retailers such as Micro Tie Group, Robey Sportswear and Vroom & Dreesmann Department Stores. Her practical experience is built on conceptual thinking for product and range development, purchasing and the sourcing of suppliers, brand development, branding and marketing. She also has extensive knowledge of (e.g. governmental) retail policies, structural concepts, store locations and integrated multi and omni-channel strategies.
In these positions she has many years of international (travel) experience in much of Asia, India, Turkey, Europe and the United States.
Preneurl. works for and with retail brands, retailers, suppliers, wholesalers and (semi) government. Former and current clients are Vroom & Dreesmann, Micro Tie group, HEMA, Intersport (Intres), Pandora, Van Dyck Bed & Swimwear, Avery Dennison, Agu Rain and Sportswear, Bagels & Beans and a number of local governments of large cities.
