SUBPROJECT: ECONOMIC AND COMMERCIAL AREA DEVELOPMENT
In 2004, the restructuring of Leidschendam-Center started. Besides housing, it included the development of a high quality shopping area with shops and restaurants. In the field of retail, the development of the run-up street (Damlaan) was of particular interest next to the construction of new retail spaces. In the recent and coming years, in Leidschendam-Center, a differentiated and qualitative higher store image must be developed, for which guidance was needed.
Preneurl. BV was asked to perform the center management for Leidschendam-Center in Leidschendam-Voorburg.
Assignment
The task was to inspire, advice and support stakeholders and entrepreneurs how to develop the shopping area of Leidschendam-Centrum on various areas in a sustainable and positive economically and profitable way, with a positive image.
Result
Inspiring presentations and concretely applicable plans and presentations in which various resources have been described to develop Leidschendam-center in order to be more attractive for the consumer and entrepreneur. Also, the first steps for implementation are taken by engaging stakeholders and partners and committing them to take a next step. Some themes are: the regional farmer market, a loyalty program, terraces plan, party lights and a (interactive) map. We have also developed various events and help realizing them as a project leader. We are also actively involved in various activities and events of stakeholders as the developer, investor and community who all help putting the area on the map.
